The Meinl HCS 16" crash is the perfect starter crash for any drummer! for such a low cost the sound quality is pretty good, and it has outlasted a more pricey zildjian zbt crash! I have had my HCS for about 1 year now and it shows no signs of cracking or key holing and it sounds just as good as when i opened the package up. It has a pretty fast crash sound and decays really fast it has a little ring after it but after about 2 months of playing it you don't really notice it. I would recommend any beginner drummer this crash.
